It is a dialogue between Lispector as an author and Angela, the character of this work. I wanted to write flarice. In the moments when it clraice shine, however, it shines with an intensity that leaves one feeling a little stunned. I will say that the sipro half feels stronger than most the second half, and it does seem to drag a little at points. For better or worse.
It is a quasi mystical dialogue that suggests that whatever is divine in life ceases to be when that which it created dies. Given the circumstances surrounding this book and its publication, I’m wary of rating it 5 stars.
Phrases like “the apocalyptic orgasm of my existence. After reading it once, I feel both a confusion for what I missed and an eagerness to continue sifting for the gems that are inside.
