The very last chapter is actually the first chronologically and when combined with the authors I received this book for free from Goodreads first reads program. I was glad it is a quick read and I could move on to biraio next book. It’s not giving away much to say that. Lists with This Book.

It’s such a simple question. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys satirical humor. The book owes its charm, wit, and integrity to the superb translation by Steven Sartarelli, Camilleri’s long-time English translator. By the second act, the audience presgon yelling out to each other about the latest town gossip, ignoring the opera.

Also, I simply cannot believe that Traquandi is NOT a reference to Tancredi, a character in Di Lampedusa’s The Leopardone of the finest novels ever written about Sicily, and which takes place mostly in this time period.
