Lancelot is still endlessly pathetic and everybody needs to get a grip and learn to fact-check instead of believing every rumour they hear to the point of wanting to die because of bad news. They return to Arthur’s court but no one has heard from Lancelot.

Dhretien with action, quick pace, filled with drama and medieval heroism, it also leaves room for different interpretations, such as the view it gives on the issue troyew courtly love, which can easily provoke a discussion that may never be resolved. Of course the very “knightly” things Lancelot does can see a little weird- like agreeing to return to his prisoner after the tournament and actually fulfilling that promise- but that is part of what makes this story just a good knight story.
